Quick Details
In 1979, after receiving a bachelors degree in architecture and before entering grad school, Anthony Abbate was hired as an intern by the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society to undertake the measurements and drawings of the Stranahan House as part of the process for recording and preserving this landmark property. In order to complete the project, he had the opportunity to live in the house and learn the many lessons the house offered: about architecture, and about living on the New River.
