Capital Campaign

The Historic Stranahan House Museum Board of Directors has embarked on a transformational Capital Improvement Campaign to further protect the historic site and create new opportunities for guests at the museum. This campus-wide improvement plan has been met with great support from partners and community stakeholders allowing us to reach 50% of our fundraising goal.

Most recently we have secured a $150,000 contribution from the Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors towards the Event Pavilion and a $100,000 contribution from the City of Fort Lauderdale towards the Welcome Center. Please click here to visit our Spring 2021 Update for details of our current lead contributors.

With the Seawall and River Patio projects completed prior to 2020, we are now looking towards our next phase of development. We have engaged a project manager to help bring the project to completion and are working with the City of Fort Lauderdale Historic Preservation Board to secure the proper Certificate of Appropriateness to begin the permitting process for the remaining projects.

Please contact Jennifer Belt, Executive Director, with any questions on this project and learn about additional ways you can help the museum achieve our goals. Members of our Capital Campaign Cabinet are always available to meet in-person or virtually to share more details.

Thank you to our generous supporters!
