Three Distance Learning Programs offered by Stranahan House Museum
"History's Mysteries" Students are introduced to the history of this area, the people that lived here and the contributions they made to South Florida. Participation is encouraged through out the presentation. At the end of the program they will be asked to email (

) the answer to the mystery question given to them at the beginning of the presentation. Each participating class will receive a History's Mysteries certificate of Master Detectives. Grades 3, 4, & 5.
"Character Counts" We will explore the positive character traits exhibited by the early pioneer's and how they played a part in the development of Fort Lauderdale. Mr. B and Mrs. S. will introduce character education through the lives of Frank and Ivy Stranahan and popular picture book characters like Clifford, Curious George and the Berstein Bears. Children will be asked to participate and share their thoughts on good character. Grades K, 1,2, & 3.
"Hats Off to History" Join Mr. B and Mrs. S. on a multicultural journey as they travel around the world to study different cultures through stories, music and art. Each program will have instructions for creating a hat to go along with the monthly theme. Craft instructions will be emailed after sign up. Grades K, 1,2, & 3.
