Mitchell and his family are off to the beach for fun, and a picnic. It doesn't take Mitchell long before he is off on another adventure with Pop Pop's binoculars. Mitchell is transported back into the past where he witnesses the perils of shipwrecking on the Florida Coast, the dangers and excitement of the Caribbean pirates, the establishment of coastal settlements and the growth of the Maritime Industry in South Florida.
